I was floating on my back in the middle of a calm ocean at night. Occasionally a drop of rain would hit the area around me. It was so dark that stars could not be seen. I had that alpha-jerk twinge that occurs when we slip under into sleep and I was floating on the ocean... in the dark. I was out for a while. We had just come from the Warhol exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art and various images were flashing through my mind. Among the other exhibits, I experienced HIM which brought about a variety of feelings from creepy to spooked to full-on laughter. I can only imagine how other individuals experience HIM: A really well thought out and presented work by Maurizio Cattelan. We walked through three empty rooms and there were a group of people standing in the corner reading the placard and a kid kneeling in the middle of the room. "That's HIM.", I told her... We had planned to go to SPACE TIME TANKS* later in the evening but we called ahead and was able to move up our appointments. We still had time to kill, so walked around and played on the swings in the park. The next thing I know I'm floating on my back in the middle of an ocean waking up at night. It was a great float for me and we headed next door to the sushi joint, had some seaweed and some rolls... I had a Sapporo Reserve. I finalized the lyrics on 2 of the tunes coming up in the BLAUDO* recordings and am working on "Passive Agressive" this evening... The streets are wet... A few years ago Daren Burns* brought me a stack of 100 cd's that he had bought at a store. They were sealed up but when he unwrapped them they had all been burned and there was an Indian man giving sermons on all of them. He knew that if anyone would want them, I would. I've carried them around with me since and in the last hour I've been checking their run times and track #'s so I can weed out duplicates. There must be at least 15 different combinations so far... this is proving to be project to be continued... again... with no desired outcome...
